I’ve just always felt that she was very much like me. And, somehow or another, I’ve come to admire her ease, intelligence, and beauty.

There are only several words I can say; otherwise it is impossible to express. A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man changed my life. It was epiphanic. If that’s even a word.

His voice is tantalizingly beautiful and in my humble opinion he’s created one of the most successfully experimental bands out there—and I don’t find success on a financial or popularity scale important, I mean successful in that Radiohead’s music is creatively experimental and manages to sound good. So many bands go experimental and end up sounding terrible, or else like just another experimental band. Radiohead’s music remains unique and this I admire very much. His songs are so skillful at capturing a mood, especially that crooning, melancholy tone which is so appealing. I cannot say how important to me Radiohead’s music has become over the past year; it means a lot to me, especially because of its difference from everything else to which I have had exposure.

Oh, and did I mention I love his voice? Love love. <3

Once, there was this girl, who I met at orientation for PDS. And she brought her CD case with her, it was covered with stickers, and I think I asked whether I could look at it. She seemed really nice, especially since I was nervous about not being able to keep up a conversation with anyone I met. But I couldn’t remember her name at the end of the day and I was so sad that I wouldn’t be able to find her again once school actually started. But I did.

I’ve fallen in love with his two latest movies, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “The Science of Sleep.” In my opinion he is a uniquely imaginative director and also a technical genius when it comes to filming. Plus, his movies reveal a philosophy which agrees very much with my own.
